COCO is now an accredited Living Wage Employer

At COCO, our people—and the communities we work with—are at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re proud to share that COCO Chocolatier is now officially a Living Wage Employer.
This means our Edinburgh-based team are paid a wage that reflects the real cost of living, not just the government minimum. It’s one more way we’re ensuring the commitment and care that power COCO are recognised and rewarded fairly.
This step aligns closely with our values. From our Impact Trade model, which sees our chocolate crafted at origin in Colombia to generate wealth and skills in cocoa-growing communities, to the collaborations we build with artists around the world, COCO has always stood for thoughtful, responsible practices.
Calum Haggerty, Founder of COCO, shared:
“Becoming a Living Wage Employer is about fairness, integrity and showing that we value the people who help shape our brand every single day.
Whether it’s our team in Edinburgh or our partners at origin, we’re committed to doing things the right way; from bean to bar.”
For us, the art of chocolate isn’t just about flavour and design—it’s about values. And this is another step toward making COCO a company we can all be proud of.
